About attending campus talks

Students should go to any and all neuroscience-related talks on campus. Going to neuroscience talks is part of your educational process and skipping these will definitely create a hole in your knowledge about cutting-edge science. Additionally, meeting these people will create networking opportunities that may prove to be very helpful later in your career. If you are getting units for being part of this lab, it is expected that you will go to any and all neuroscience talks that happen here on campus. When I was in grad school, I had to go to multiple talks from visiting scientists every week, including every Saturday morning (early), and these talks were almost always way more informative about "real-life / applied science" than my classes. It's not that often that we get high-level scientists from other universities visiting LLU, so you should definitely take advantage of it when it happens.
