Animal care training for working with vertebrates

Loma Linda University follows all the rules and guidelines of the Institutional Animal Care and Use (IACUC). IACUC requires that anyone performing animal research involving the use of vertebrates (e.g., rats / mice / fish) must demonstrate an understanding of the rules, guidelines, and procedures by completing animal training. Animal Training is offered through the Loma Linda University Animal Care Facility (ACF) located in the hospital. The only requirement to start the ACF animal training is a Loma Linda University identification badge. Once you have signed up for animal training, please remember that although you will have completed and turned in all forms, modules, and participated in all classes required for animal training; your animal training will not be officially completed until a confirmation email has been received in your LLU email. Please save this email once it is received. A completed IACUC protocol must be submitted before any study using vertebrates can begin.
